It is the policy of SAM Parent LLC and its Subsidiaries, including but not limited to Surveying And Mapping, LLC, SAM-Construction Services, LLC and SAM-NY, Inc. (collectively the “SAM Companies”) to comply with the regulations of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, and other nondiscrimination laws and authorities, that include regulations relative to nondiscrimination in federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation (DOT) Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the Federal Highway Administration’s Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations 200 (collectively, the “Regulations”). The SAM Companies will continue to seek avenues for minority business enterprises capable of meeting or exceeding our quality, integrity and performance requirements to be afforded opportunities to perform services for or provide supplies to the SAM Companies.
In all solicitations, either competitive bidding or negotiation, made by the SAM Companies for work to be performed under a subcontract, including procurement of materials, services or equipment, each potential supplier, vendor, independent contractor and subconsultant shall be notified of the contractor’s obligations under the contract and the Regulations relative to nondiscrimination on the ground of race, color or national origin. The SAM Companies will include the necessary nondiscrimination provisions in every subcontract, including procurement of materials and services and in the lease of equipment, unless exempt by the Regulations, or directives issued pursuant thereto.
