Tyler Trujillo has over 21 years of experience in land surveying for both public and private sectors. As the Office Manager for Salt Lake City, he leads a team of staff supporting projects with civil design, utility infrastructure, platting, and support for the permit acquisition of federal, state, and private lands. He spent the first six years of his career working as a Cadastral Surveyor with the Bureau of Land Management in Utah and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics from Idaho State University.

Tyler received his professional license in 2008, and is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, and North Dakota. Tyler’s experience spans a wide range of infrastructure clients, successfully executing projects in the energy, residential/commercial development, electric transmission, renewables, and utility markets in the private sector. While working for the Bureau of Land Management, he performed several dependent resurveys, original surveys, and surveys on tribal lands, along with supporting the Geographic Coordinate Database (GCDB) program to update the PLSS cadastral framework.

Tyler’s favorite SAM core value is Excellence In Service. He believes that the long-term success of the organization is a direct tie to the success of our clients on projects and in the industry. He is a true believer in the value of meeting or exceeding customer expectations. He currently resides in Utah with his wife and two children, and enjoys camping with the family, golfing, and fishing.
