Shawn Dunn joined SAM Companies as the Director of Information Technology. He has over 25 years of experience in IT and has worked in various industries including: government, banking, real estate, insurance and solid wood and corrugated packaging manufacturing. Shawn has extensive hands-on knowledge of IT hardware and software, audit compliance, and information security and received recognition for his leadership in aligning technology with effective business strategies, customer service, employee development, and reducing costs.
Shawn served 6 years in the U.S. Navy, with two tours to the Persian Gulf, as an Electronics Technician working with the first shipboard Local Area Network in the U.S. Fleet for supply chain management.
Shawn strongly believes in SAM’s core value of Excellence in Service its emphasis is critical to how he approaches his teams’ daily interactions and IT support to SAM’s employees and customers. He spends time in the community with Adopt-a-Highway coordination and his son’s baseball programs. Shawn resides in Texas with his wife, son, and two Golden Retrievers.
