Shawn Dunn has been with SAM Companies for over 10 years as the Director of Information Technology. He has helped integrate over 25 company acquisitions, achieved SOC2 Type 2 audit certification of the SAM IT environment and implemented full Disaster Recovery and Cyber Security Incident Response plans. He has over 35 years of experience in IT and has worked in various industries including: professional services, government, banking, real estate, insurance and manufacturing. Shawn has extensive hands-on knowledge of IT hardware and software, audit compliance, and Cyber Security and received recognition for his leadership in aligning technology with effective business strategies, customer service, employee development, and reducing costs.
Shawn served 6 years in the U.S. Navy, with two tours to the Persian Gulf, as an Electronics Technician working with the first shipboard Local Area Network in the U.S. Fleet for supply chain management.
Shawn strongly believes in SAM’s core value of Excellence in Service its emphasis is critical to how he approaches his teams’ daily interactions and IT support to SAM’s employees and customers. Shawn resides in Texas with his wife, son, and two Golden Retrievers.
