Andy Wesley

In his capacity as Senior Associate and Vice President of North Central Operations, Andy provides leadership for our North Central Region offices including Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, and Chicago.  His responsibilities encompass leading and developing teams of senior managers focused on surveying, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI), Utility Coordination, and LiDAR/Imagery. Andy is a subject matter expert for railroads, oil and gas, electric utilities, heavy construction, and renewables, as well as terrestrial scanning and asset management. Additionally, he oversees regional financial planning and reporting for his Region, ensuring strategic oversight and operational excellence that can benefit stakeholders looking to address complex project needs in these areas.

Andy is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor and a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. With a robust career at SAM, Andy brings extensive expertise to his role, backed by his active membership in the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association, American Council of Engineering Companies of Missouri, and the International Right of Way Association. His proven track record includes delivering successful teams for a diverse range of large clients and governmental agencies, such as State DOT’s, municipalities, counties, railroads, energy providers, solar and wind developers, private developments, and engineering and architectural firms. This wealth of experience positions him as a valuable resource for those seeking innovative solutions in land surveying and related disciplines.

Andy lives in St. Louis with his wife, Mitzi, and their two children. They enjoy traveling together as a family and staying active outdoors. He is a fan of Cardinals baseball and Blues hockey.
