With over 33 years of experience in geospatial services, Allan Blades has built a distinguished career supporting Federal, State, Local, and AEC industry clients. As Vice President and Corporate Federal Market Sector Director at SAM, Allan plays a pivotal role in driving strategic growth and expanding the company’s presence across government markets. He is responsible for monitoring industry trends, fostering business development, and aligning SAM’s diverse service offerings with client needs.
A key member of the executive leadership team, Allan helps shape SAM’s long-term vision by developing strategies and initiatives that support the company’s overarching objectives. His expertise spans national infrastructure, defense, transportation, and engineering programs, where he has successfully led initiatives for a wide range of public and private sector clients.
Allan earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Towson University and holds certification as a GIS Professional (GISP). He is actively involved in several industry organizations, including the Society of Military Engineers (SAME), the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC), the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), The Hydrographic Society of America (THOSA), the U.S. Geospatial Executives Organization (U.S. GEO), and MAPPS. Through these affiliations, Allan remains at the forefront of industry advancements and collaboration.
