SAM Ranks 92 Among ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms for 2019

SAM, LLC has been ranked by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as a top engineering design firm for 2019. SAM jumped 14 spots to be ranked 92 on the ENR list of Top 500 Design Firms, reflecting our growth through geographic expansion and service diversification. SAM also ranked number 72 among the Top 100 Pure Designers in 2019, a category for companies not engaged in construction.

This is the seventh time that SAM has appeared on the list and we are pleased to be among the top companies recognized by ENR for 2019. The highly regarded ranking is published annually and profiles leading firms based on revenue. We appreciate the employees and client partners that drive our growth and success.

In addition to national rankings, ENR publishes rankings for geographic regions and market sectors. For the Southeast region SAM was ranked 94 out of 120 firms. The Southeast includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Puerto Rico. SAM also ranked 88 out of 120 in the Midwest Region. The Midwest region includes Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, Wisconsin. Future regional and sector rankings will follow as they are published.

For the Texas/Louisiana region, SAM ranked 22 overall. In the Texas/Louisiana service rankings, SAM was number 1 in the Surveying and Mapping category. By individual state, SAM ranked number 21 in Texas. By market sector SAM was number 5 in Petroleum, number 4 in Power, and number 7 in Telecommunications.

For the Mountain States region, SAM ranked 38 out of 60 firms listed for Colorado/Wyoming, up from 47 the previous year. In the MidAtlantic region, SAM ranked 109 out of 155 firms listed. This region includes Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.
