On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, SAM held a STEM Showcase at the future site of the Dell Children’s Medical Center North to further opportunities in science and technology for current patients that reside in Williamson County. During the event, patients in Williamson County had the opportunity to participate in STEM exercises including a drone demonstration and flight simulation.
“We are thrilled to support the Dell Children’s Medical Center and the children that will benefit from the new facility being built here in Williamson County. We are excited to share the science, technology, engineering, and math that we utilize daily at SAM to design and construct high-quality infrastructure projects such as parks, roads, bridges, and this incredible facility Dell is building for our community,” said Chris Solomon, President and CEO of SAM Companies.
In addition to the interactive STEM activities, SAM Companies presented a $5,000 check to Seton Williamson Foundation. Patients have benefited greatly from Dell’s investments in our community, and SAM is excited to support the future site of Dell Children’s Medical Center North in Williamson County. The new facility is being developed at Avery Ranch Boulevard and 183A and will include more than 187,000 square feet, thirty-six beds, emergency and trauma services, four operating rooms, endoscopy and procedure rooms, in and outpatient sleep labs, and space for future growth.
“We need a world-class childcare facility for our children in Williamson County. I can never say thank you enough. Thank you to SAM and thank you to Dell Children’s Medical Center for investing in the future generations of the world.” said Williamson County Judge, Bill Gravell.
