This project consisted of a new 95 mile 345kV transmission line across six counties in southeast Texas running from the Canal Substation located in Chambers County to the Cottonwood generation plant located Newton County. SAM established 40 primary control points and set secondary project control and ground control for aerial mapping, produced 2-foot contour aerial mapping and 1/2-foot pixel digital orthophotos, provided supplemental design surveying and LiDAR QC services, and crossing surveys for the entire project. SAM also surveyed boundaries and prepared a parcel map for approximately 300 parcels.
