SAM is performing surveying services in Central Texas for the inspection of utility poles and 3D pole modeling to support the permitting of new attachments by telecommunications clients.
The field data collection process includes pole location and mid-span location coordinates, photos, pole height/class information, pole ID number, ground-line circumference measurements, pole lean measurements, guy and anchor information, as well as documentation of any equipment present and any repair and maintenance required.
The pole modeling process includes processing of the field data collected and creation of 3D models of each pole, deliverable in either the O-Calc Pro or SPIDACalc pole loading software formats. Pole models include all pole, span, equipment, riser, guy and anchor information needed to accurately determine existing pole loads and the expected pole loads with proposed new attachments.
