Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is pleased to announce we’ve recently made several new hires. We’re excited to have these professionals as part of our team and look forward to their contributions. Some of our new staff include:
 Mark Miller, RPLS, PLS, has joined SAM as part of our Senior Staff in our Austin Office. He has more than 37 years of surveying, operations management, and staff development experience, and is a Professional Land Surveyor registered in 16 states including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. He has extensive experience in a broad range of surveying, mapping, geospatial, and hydrographic projects. Most recently Mark was President of LW Survey Company in Colorado and prior to that with CH2M Hill.
Mark has an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Surveying and Construction Technology from Akron University in Ohio. Throughout his career he has managed a wide range of large scale surveying projects across the U.S. He has excelled at building collaborative teams and leading them to success with innovative and effective project approaches. With SAM Mark will have a broad leadership role in supporting operations, management, and business development, while helping to ensure the delivery of high quality solutions to our clients. Jeff Meyerrose has joined SAM as Operations Manager in our Columbus office. He has over 35 years of experience in the surveying and engineering industry, with executive-level expertise in operations management and business development.
Most recently Jeff was Director of Surveying Services for Cardno, Inc. in Indianapolis, but also spent many years in leadership positions with Mid-States Engineering, Inc. and Woolpert, Inc.
Jeff has an expert background in the full range of surveying operations and has managed high-profile, large scale projects for clients across both public and private sector markets. He has extensive experience with project management, personnel management, finance, marketing, and contract development. Jeff has a Bachelor’s degree in Land Survey Engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed surveyor in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. He is active in numerous industry organizations and associations and is a licensed private pilot.
At SAM Jeff will lead a team of experienced geospatial professionals to deliver best-in-class services to clients and develop new market business opportunities for the firm.
